Ride to live, Live to ride

Team Bus

On the weekend of the 15th of May, some of the members of the Team got together, and put in a little work on the Bus! We met at Steve and Linda Pearson's home, which they graciously opened to us.

To say that we had a good time is an understatement! We worked hard, but we also took time to enjoy it. And, of course, there was plenty of great food to share!

Here are a few photos to show how it went.

This is the bus before we started our little project. One of the other unseen things that got fixed but doesn't show is George's work on fixing the elusive tail light problem! But, they are perfect now! And, the bus just had a tuneup, and is running better than ever!

The construction of the deck started on the ground. This was an interesting time. We all knew what we wanted it to look like, but started with no detailed drawings or blueprints. We would lay out the metal, measure, cut, discuss, and then put arc to iron to create the deck. While perhaps not of the grandure of the pyramids, or the perfection of King Solomon's Temple, it was none the less executed in this way, and fit on the bus on the very first try! We continued in this way, and over the space of two weekends, not only had a real touring bus with a deck on top, but with a foldup shower stall on the side! Following are a few photos of the crew and our efforts.
